NovelBound is for writers of all genres and backgrounds. Whether you’re a hobbyist, an aspiring debut author, or someone working on their fifth manuscript, you’ll find tools, support, and community here. We have members from all around the world.

Absolutely. We love new writers. Our resources, workshops, and community are designed to support you at every stage, including those just getting started. You don’t need a polished manuscript or fancy credentials—just a love for storytelling.

We offer a growing library of writing guides, query templates, industry explainers, indie publishing resources, and more. Members also get access to our library of event recordings as well.

You can sign up for retreats through our Retreats page when registration opens. Members get early access and discounted rates, but you don’t have to be a member to attend.

Nope! We’re a writing community and resource platform. We’ll help you get your work submission-ready or explore indie publishing, but we don’t publish books ourselves.

Not at all. Come to the ones that interest you, skip the ones that don’t. All events are optional, and members often access replays if they can’t attend live.

Sometimes! Some of our events are open to non-members for a small fee, while members attend for free. Some events and workshops are exclusive to members.

Nope, we support writers on every path—traditional, indie, hybrid, or still figuring it out. You’ll find tools and advice for all publishing journeys.

Definitely not! We welcome all genres. Our community is made stronger by the diversity of stories being told.

We can’t guarantee publication (no one can!), but we’ll give you the tools, knowledge, and community support to make it more achievable. We’re here to help you grow and get your work out into the world, whatever that looks like for you.

Yes, NovelBound writers often explore difficult or mature themes. We ask that all members include content warnings when appropriate, and we maintain a respectful, inclusive space for discussion. If you’re ever unsure, our team is here to help.
